Structural Reinforcement With Foam

Structural Reinforcement With Foam

In the world of Insulation Contractor  and engineering, finding materials that balance strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness is a continuous pursuit. Here at PFI Advanced Equipment Manufacturing (PFI AEM), we’re proud to be a leader in the field of structural foam for concrete, helping projects save on material costs while enhancing structural integrity.

Structural Foam for Concrete

The term “structural foam” describes a family of materials created through a process called low-pressure injection molding. This technology uses a blowing agent and plastic polymer to mold structures with a strong outer skin and a lightweight foamed core, offering a great strength-to-weight ratio.

The primary benefit of using structural foam in concrete is weight reduction, which makes it easier to transport and install concrete elements on-site. Structural foam is also often more affordable than other building materials, positively impacting project budgets. The versatility of this material makes it ideal for a wide range of concrete applications, including walls, floors, and roofs in commercial and residential construction; foundations and basements; and bridge decks and beams.
